Mont Ventoux – Sault – Nesqueschlucht – Malauc\u00e8ne<\/p>\n

Bevor es in Berg hochgehen sollte, kauften wir noch Supermarkt etwas f\u00fcr heute Abend und morgen fr\u00fch ein. Aufgrund des Sonntag sind die Gesch\u00e4fte nur bis mittags ge\u00f6ffnet.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Aus dem Ort hinaus und schon begann die Ruhe. Am Anfang kamen nur vereinzelt ein paar Radfahrer, die nat\u00fcrlich etwas schneller sind bergauf als ein Velomobil. Oder auch vereinzelt Motorr\u00e4der und PKWs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wenn man die Nordseite f\u00e4hrt, geht es lange durch den Wald und deshalb ist es k\u00fchler. Daf\u00fcr ist der Anstieg wesentlich steiler und liegt sp\u00e4ter \u00f6fters \u00fcber 10%. Bei uns lief es super. Brigitte schickte mir von weiter oben eine WhatsApp Nachricht, dass sie mit m\u00f6glichst wenig Stopps durch fahren wollte. Mit PedelecUnterst\u00fctzung ist sie etwas schneller als ich. Somit brauchte ich mir keine Gedanken machen, dass hinter mir irgendwas nicht gut l\u00e4uft. Bei mir lief es bis 1.400 m H\u00f6he geschmiert. Erst danach merkte ich die Beine etwas. Das ist allerdings auch der Punkt, wo die Steigung h\u00e4ufiger anzieht. Sobald ich aus dem Wald heraus war und diese Kalksteinw\u00fcste begann, konnte ich den Gipfelturm sehen und dann war es nur noch eine Frage der Geduld.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend die meisten motorisierten Fahrer sehr vern\u00fcnftig fuhren, gab es leider ab und zu auch Ausnahmen. Motorradfahrer, die sich quasi ein Rennen bergauf lieferten oder Sportwagenfahrer, die das gleiche taten und relativ riskant in Kurven ohne m\u00f6glichen Gegenverkehr sehen zu k\u00f6nnen an den Radfahrer vorbei fuhren. Nach 3 Stunden hatten wir den Gipfel erreicht und feierten erst einmal unsere Leistung mit dem mitgenommenen Proviant und ein paar Cola, die wir oben kaufen. Zu dieser Jahreszeit waren recht wenig Leute hier oben, verglichen mit der Hauptsaison.<\/p>\n

Nun hinunter nach Sault. Zweimal mussten wir unterwegs die Bremsen k\u00fchlen und etwas warten. Bei der ersten Station war eine Quelle aus der wir neue K\u00fchlfl\u00fcssigkeit in unsere Flaschen f\u00fcllten. Die Abfahrt nach Sault ist relativ flach um 4-6 % und deshalb kann man es auf vielen Abschnitten gut rollen lassen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nach Sault wartete der zweite H\u00f6hepunkt des Tages auf uns – die Nesqueschlucht. Daf\u00fcr muss man nur dem kleinen Bach folgen, um dann nach einigen Kilometern oberhalb dieser gewaltigen Schlucht zu sein. Es ist kaum zu glauben, dass dieser Bach diese Schlucht ausgegraben haben soll. Jetzt geht es f\u00fcr circa 20 km mit ganz leichten Gef\u00e4lle immer nur bergab an der Schlucht entlang. Das ist ein absolutes Highlight.<\/p>\n

Kurz vor Malaucene f\u00fchrte uns BRouter \u00fcber eine Nebenstrecke mit einer kurzen, aber h\u00f6llischen Steigung auf absolut schlechtem Asphalt. Das war dann die \u00dcberraschung des Tages. In Malaucene angekommen g\u00f6nnten wir uns jeder 1L Panach\u00e9.<\/p>\n
