The Urban adopts the proven aerodynamic profile of the MK1 with strategic modifications that optimize it for city use. Its innovative open wheel arch design allows for a tighter turning radius—perfect for navigating urban environments—while maintaining excellent speed characteristics at typical cruising velocities (30-35 km/h). The wider track width enables confident cornering at higher speeds, making it equally suitable for both daily commuting and competitive cycling events.

The Urban has more ground clearance than the MK1. This means it can move better on bad paths and off paved slopes. Unmatched Comfort and Accessibility
Due to the external front wheels, the wheel arches in the driver’s compartment shrink by around 4 cm on each side. This makes space between the wheel arches and strong drivers can develop here. The heel protuberances on the underbody are 2 cm larger. This means that longer cranks or taller drivers can crank without collisions with the body.

Improved maintenance access

The modular concept has proven to be very successful with the Bülk MK1: it includes very simple, quick and tool-free adjustment to different driver sizes, so that one vehicle can be used by several people. Adjustment system accommodates riders from 158~195cm, with modular design for perfect fit.

The removable service hatch under the steering rods provides quick access when needed.
Performance-wise, it’s remarkably capable. The versatility is impressive. You get multiple gearing options (2×11 or 1×12 speed systems with Schlump drive available), comprehensive electrical features (blinkers, horn, brake lights, running lights, and various headlight options), and generous storage options including front storage bins. The foam pad seat system allows comfortable adjustment of the recline angle.
