Day 9 | Oslo - Kroderen | 109 KM | 1057 HM

Today it is supposed to rain and we now want to make our way to Bergen via the Hardangervidda. Start at 08:30 h. The way out of Oslo via the E18 cycle path was easy, in contrast to the day before yesterday. At a place for skaters, a group of girls of primary school age were practicing with their coaches. They were totally enthusiastic about the velomobiles.

After about 17 km we had to cross the mountain ridge to Drammen again. After that it was rolling again.

We had a first breakfast break in Sylling at Holsfjorden. Behind the town came the first 12% climb. Immediately afterwards came the promised rain. It poured quite heavily, but only very briefly. After that, the rest of the day was dry and the sun came through more and more. Now we rolled along the Turitfjorden for a while until we reached Vikersund. It was a very scenic and quiet stretch. In Vikersund there was actually a café and we treated ourselves to a nice latte macchiato.

We didn't want to drive much longer today and decided to camp at Krøderen on the lake of the same name. It was still a good 30 km to the lake. Our campsite was right on the water. With the strong wind, our laundry was quickly dried.

We enjoyed the evening with a sip of whisky from the ferry.
