Announcing a New Velomobile Dealer in the US

In fall of 2022 Velomobile World took the bold step to move to direct sales and the Velomobile Ambassador program. Since the establishment of the program, traffic to the Velomobile World website has increased five-fold and velomobile sales have more than quadrupled! Through my involvement with the ambassador program, I’ve had the privilege to help many riders realize their dream of owning a great new velomobile. Thanks to the vision of Jan from Velomobile World, the purchase process for the US has become much easier.
Over the past year as an ambassador, I have formed a close working relationship with Velomobile World. My involvement with Velomobile World has grown now beyond the role of Velomobile Ambassador and we feel the logical next step to help better serve the US market is for me to establish a dealership along with operating as a US Sales Representative focused on marketing and communications. This dealership is intended as a supplement to the Ambassador Program which will continue. The goal is to further simplify the order process and make payment and import as stress-free as possible for new velomobile owners. It will also make acquiring parts easier and less expensive for the US market. However, it is not my intention to be the only dealership. The US is too large to be serviced by one person. Therefore, our hope is that we will be able to further expand the dealer network in the US in the coming months. The intention is to maintain the same pricing as was available through direct sales.
My dealership, Northland Velo LLC, is located in Bloomington, MN, a short 15 minute car ride from Minneapolis International Airport. I have access to an excellent system of bike trails and bike lanes perfect for test rides. Our varying conditions here provide the potential to experience the weather benefits of velomobiles at various times of the year, ranging from hot and humid summers, to the more seasonable spring and fall, to frigidly cold winters. Test rides, fittings, order consultations, and service are available by appointment. Currently I offer a Bülk and W9 for test rides, but I plan to have another model or two next summer as well.
I’m excited for the opportunity to help make the transformative dream of velomobile ownership a reality for more riders while continuing to collaborate with Velomobile World and our great ambassadors. I look forward to working with you!
