The Urban adopts the proven aerodynamic profile of the MK1 with strategic modifications that optimize it for city use. Its innovative open wheel arch design allows for a tighter turning radius—perfect for navigating urban environments—while maintaining excellent speed characteristics at typical cruising velocities (30-35 km/h). The wider track width enables confident cornering at higher speeds, making it equally suitable for both daily commuting and competitive cycling events.

Unmatched Comfort and Accessibility
Due to the external front wheels, the wheel arches in the driver’s compartment shrink by around 4 cm on each side. This makes space between the wheel arches and strong drivers can develop here. The heel protuberances on the underbody are 2 cm larger. This means that longer cranks or taller drivers can crank without collisions with the body.

Performance-wise, it’s remarkably capable. The versatility is impressive. You get multiple gearing options (2×11 or 1×12 speed systems with Schlump drive available), comprehensive electrical features (blinkers, horn, brake lights, running lights, and various headlight options), and generous storage options including front storage bins.
