Johann Hoy, die Person hinter HoVelo, ist ein Velomobil-Enthusiast, der schon immer vom Radfahren fasziniert war. Vor einigen Jahren begann er, nach besseren Fahrradalternativen zu suchen, die ihn zum Beispiel vor schlechtem Wetter schützen können. Irgendwann erfuhr er von Velomobilen und ab 2017 fing er an, sie zu fahren. Seit Anfang 2019 fährt er einen DF und ist absolut begeistert von dem Erlebnis, das das Fahren eines Velomobils bietet. Da Johann seine Leidenschaft für Velomobile weitergeben wollte, beschloss er, Händler zu werden, um Menschen dabei zu helfen, die Welt dieser besonderen Fahrzeuge zu entdecken.
Ab Ende Juli 2022 steht Jans gelbes Bülk beim HoVelo-Händler als Testrad.
