Day 10.
Neunkirch - Herzogenbuchsee
A good 110 km were on the agenda today. So it was a recovery tour.
Yesterday's tour had been relatively exhausting in the middle.
Today we first rolled towards Waldshut. We were quickly back in Germany. In Tiengen we had a coffee break and got caught up in the town's children's day. After the break we pushed our velomobiles through the pedestrian zone and many children were very enthusiastic about them.
At Waldshut we crossed the border back into Switzerland. Martin from the Forum had put together a nice route for us. It led up the river valley of the Aare. Partly directly along the river, partly on small farm tracks or on normal roads.
The larger towns were Aarau and Olten. In Olten there is a beautiful, old, covered wooden bridge over the Aare to the city centre.
At the end of our tour near Herzogenbuchsee, we would be guests of Ines and Wolfgang today. The whole day we rode in fine sunshine. As soon as we arrived at our destination and the velomobiles were parked in the garage, then a downpour started.
