I am an avid cyclist who generally enjoys endurance riding but likes to ride various types of bikes to enjoy a diverse variety of experience.

As an example, I ride a fixed gear track bike at a local velodrome in winter to train at higher cadences and steady power, but also ride a fat bike on snowy and ice trails in winter. They are polar opposites but equally enjoyable.

During the rest of the year when we have milder weather I split my riding between XC mountain biking, gravel and road riding.

Randoneuring is one of my favourite cycling activities, but especially riding brevets of 400km & 600km distances as both provide a long day and opportunities to ride across more terrain.

I’m looking forward to having a Bülk velomobile so I can cover such distances as higher speeds, with more comfort and in less time.

After Eggert Bülk and Jens Buckbesch started the Milan project in 2005 (which is still running successfully today), they started a new velomobile project in 2021, the Bülk-MK1. It implements a new space utilization and aerodynamic concept. The findings from various wind tunnel tests were also taken into account. A velomobile is a human-powered vehicle related to the bicycle, for everyday use, with a body/shell that provides comfort, weather protection and luggage space. Due to the aerodynamically shaped bodywork, you can achieve a decent speed with little effort (30-50 km/h on flat road). Velomobiles are very suitable as commuter vehicles, for shopping or holidays, also are a good way to clear your mind while taking a tour or a road trip with your friends.
