Day 27 | Brønnøysund - Nesna | 122 KM | 648 HM

Little rain today. Whenever I put the foam cover on, it stopped again after a few minutes. The sun came out more often. A day to take lots of pictures.

Lovely finds from the campsite. The contrast to today's campsite really struck us.

With weather like this, you just look. The Helge coast path in the most beautiful Nordic weather. Sun, wind, clouds. You drive around the bend and just go aaaah. The roadsides are still green everywhere.

Three ferries today. Pretty soon the first ferry and a short crossing.

We had to wait an hour for the second ferry. We spent it together with two Norwegian cyclists in the waiting room for the ferry.

After the crossing, this Canadian from Quebec met us with his Black Friday. He was pulling a hard-sided suitcase into which he packed his folding bike during the flight. He carries the things from the suitcase in a bag. He would estimate it to be about 70.

A little later, the two cyclists came out of the waiting room. Father from Mo I Rana with the luggage and his son. As we rode behind after chatting with the Canadian, the son became nervous and kept looking around for us. The father had asked us about the velomobiles. The son was outwardly rather disinterested. They knew that you could go faster on them. Both of them rode about 18-20 on the MTBs. In no time at all we were on it, chatted a bit more and then drove off.

There was even an airport here.

Then came the Helgelands Bridge. A great and imposing bridge.

Today it was simply beautiful to drive. Mostly more like gliding than cycling.

A spotter. There were quite a few of them today. Some of them turned around and rode behind. Or waited like he did here. Or a woman made the wildest contortions out of the window. I kept pulling to the left to see if I could overtake her and see how she reacted. When I then took photos of the people taking pictures, many of them reacted a little coyly or laughed.

Waiting for the third ferry. If we hadn't taken a break beforehand, she wouldn't have sailed away from us.

The old, stooped man in front of me in the Coop was wearing this cool jacket with some signs of wear. Probably super fit on skis.
