The Alpha W9s is here!

Originally conceived as an even slimmer version of the W9 for smaller and therefore less powerful riders, it even offers space for riders up to 1.83 m tall. This makes it a racing vehicle suitable for everyday use and the spearhead of the Alpha 9 Series, converting low power into high speed.

Pedals

The Alpha Series pedal system features a sophisticated design with distinct left and right threading for secure attachment. Here’s what you need to know about pedal maintenance:

Installation and Removal

  • Pedals are marked with specific threading direction and torque requirements (10 Newton-meters)
  • Left pedal: Loosen by turning left
  • Right pedal: Loosen by turning right
  • Installation requires proper lubrication with either vaseline or white ceramic paste
  • Hand-tighten initially, then use appropriate tools to achieve proper torque

Maintenance Tips

  • Always check for visible directional markers before removal
  • Apply appropriate lubrication during reinstallation
  • Maintain proper torque specification (10 Nm)
  • Regular inspection of threading condition is recommended
  • Use proper tools to avoid damage during maintenance
